What's this one calling, our org believed it up until 1935?
KJV Ephesians 4:4-7
4. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5. One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6. One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Now, that's ONE hope brother.
And what about the patriarchs?
11. By faith Abraham, even though he was past age--and Sarah herself was barren--was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise.
12. And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.
13. All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth.
14. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own.
15. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return.
16. Instead, they were longing for a better country--a heavenly one.
That's pretty clear-a heavenly hope for them also!
What's Jesus say about his nature?
54. Jesus replied, "If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me.
55. Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and keep his word.
56. Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad."
57. "You are not yet fifty years old," the Jews said to him, "and you have seen Abraham!"
58. "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"
59. At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.
"I AM" is a direct quote from Exodus 6.2,3 and WHO spoke that?
3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.
4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared,
5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
GOD OUR SAVIOUR. Did you know that it was common for Christians, as early as 42 a.d. to assign the divine name symbols to Jesus as well as Yahweh when quoting him? Hmmm. That kind of blows out the idea of 3ird or 4th century pagan influence, doesn't it?
3. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
4. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
5. For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father " ? Or again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son" ?
6. And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, "Let all God's angels worship him."
Exact representation? Worship him?
Well now, what were those 'Babylonish teachings' again that a non-scholar, haberdasher rescued us from?
Do you want to see the rest of your WT theology exposed as falicious?
