Thanks for the memory lane trip. My favorite part of the whole 1975 scam was a sentence delivered with impunity by a nameless district servant at a circuit assembly in 1975. He said some had been talking about Armageddon coming in 1975, then he said, "Brothers, if you heard it, you did not here it here." There was applause like he had just said everybody present gets a thousand bucks door prize. I knew I was in the wrong place.
I kicked the door on the way out.
They were not the stupid ones, I was. I think realizing that is part of the reason I was so angry.
Oh well!
