Not at all. The one making the claim is always the one faced with the burden of proof, and extraordinary claims (like sitting in the seat of Moses) require extraordinary proof.
If it were otherwise, then we would have to assume that Bibleman is the Messiah returned, since that is his claim, and we would be faced with the impossible task of proving him wrong.
