Those who feel there is a god or God have created their own rules which preclude any investigation by scientific methods by which a scientist could prove a god's existance and then jump for joy that science is unable to find the answer. By all known rules of science there are no acceptable(to those who want there to be a god anyway) methods by which a god, gods,or God can be proven or, better yet, disproven. It is up to the holder of a belief in god, gods or God to prove that this belief is factual and a reality. The burden of proof is on those who make an extraordinary claim while it is the scientist's job to disprove it.

A good analogy would be cold-fusion as an energy source. Scientists don't claim it is impossible, just unlikely. When some people claimed to have produced a cold fusion reaction they could not reproduce the experiment nor could other scientists but many could prove that this method of cold fusion was NOT viable, hence we still don't have cold fusion as an energy source.

God is also like Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and space aliens in that scientists cannot credibly claim that they are real because there is little evidence to support such claims and no specimens for public and open examination by scientists and skeptics. Maybe there is a Loch Ness Monster, but until I see them pulling one onto a boat with many press reporters and scientists confirming that it was indeed a real living creature ready for public display, I must remain a skeptic.

In short,if God (a god or gods)really exist where is the evidence? If you want me or scientists to believe in God's reality then we need some good reasons to accept such an extraordinary claim. God has even less evidence to present for His existance than Bigfoot,Nessy,or space aliens. There are many eye witness accounts of sightings by modern people, photographs, movies, videos, and even some physical evidence for all of the above but not for God. With all this evidence scientists and most people remain skeptical of these mythical creatures so why not be skeptical of God? Where is your evidence?

A real study of evolution will provide much evidence for its reality and that is why J.W.s are afraid to take University level classes which deal with this evidence. Many skeptics, on the other hand, have fearlessly done detailed studies of the best evidence for the Christian God,the Bible, and find it to be lacking in logic, factual accuracy, and riddled with contradictions. Also, why choose this one ancient book from so many and claim that it alone holds the truth? Most who believe in the Bible do so out of tradition and culture and not because it is the best. The vast majority of Christians were born to it and not convinced by evidence and comparison to other thought systems. Hence, Christians have little Christians and Muslims have little Muslims and rarely do they trade. Something to think about. May your search be rewarding. Liberty
