You sound right on target to me, Elrond. An awareness of our strengths, weaknesses and especially of our motivations is a valuable tool in our life-construction workshops.
As a reminder to myself not to get overly cocky when I think I have it all figured out, I often recall a statement that Henry Kissinger made about U.S. President Jimmy Carter: "The danger is not that he knows nothing about foreign policy. The danger is that he doesn't know that he knows nothing about foreign policy."
Knowledge is strength; and even if it is simply the knowledge of our personal ignorance, it's more than many have.
