Hi Comf, I hate to harp back to old familiar themes, but I did have a close family before it got mixed up with the Witnesses. It's hard to believe religion can infiltrate a happy close knit group - but it's a slow process as you know and we were a naive lot. I'm sure that's why I've taken years to come to terms with what the Tower did to my family - because we weren't particularly disfunctional or unhappy, just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I'm supposed to be on my way to the airport actually, but I'm having a quick fix before heading off to spend 10 days with my JW folks. Fortunately we were close enough that they could never quite bring themselves to cut me off - and though the elders did everything short of performing a rain dance to convince my folks to srub me - "love never fails"! Anyway I really enjoyed reading about your holiday and your astute observations. Take care and keep the home fires burning.
