Bibleman: Here are some interesting thoughts. The Society taught up into the 1940s that we should worship Jesus. This changed because it conflicted with their anti-trinitarian beliefs.

I have never found a case in the Bible where Jesus ever refused an act of worship. Although, he did question why some called him 'Good' as that only belonged to God. Some have argued that Jesus was not refusing being called 'Good' but using the opportunity to identify himself with God.

Most commonly he was given Proskeneo (Obeisense as the Society likes to highlight). The angel in Revelation (not Jesus) was offered Proskoneo by John. The angel refused the act, and said that Proskoneo should only be given to God. Yet Hebrews 1 says that all God's angels are to render Proskoneo to the glorified Jesus. (I may not have spelled Proskoneo correctly)

What do you make of the fact that accepted Proskoneo in comparison to the angel in Revelation deferring Proskoneo to God alone?

Simply Amazing
