Jimmy: Once again, excellent work. You hit the nail on the head regarding Watchtower style apostasy vs apostasy from Christ.
In your first part you saw my suggestions about mailing a copy to all Elders. Then you mentioned that the Letter is for your sister's benefit.
The reminded me that I also called, visited with, and sent copies of my letter to many friends within the Org. My family had already left with me, so my letter was anti-climatic for them.
The good news is that some of the long time JW friends I called were most interested in what made me want to leave, and postiively responded for a while.
One sister, whom I had helped she and her husband into the org, called and wanted all the informatioin I had. She had serious concerns herself. Her husband, who was a good friend, cut me off of the phone, and would not allow her to talk with me.
So you might consider having pre-exit private discussions with some before you send your letter. I timed mine the day I mailed my letter so that the Letter arrived at each Elder's home the next day. This kept some from having enough time to turn me in, and it kept the Elders from acting against me before they saw my letter.
