That's absolutely correct. I can only assume that someone has asked about that more than once otherwise there would be no reason for giving that direction. Perhaps the question was asked about those that had died under questionable circumstances or committed suicide, something like that. I agree that it seems somewhat silly.

The rest of your comments are simply assertions. You find many references on this board, both past and present, to people resigning without difficulty. The fact that COs try to persuade people not to resign is irrelevant. People want to step down for all kinds of reasons, some of them are not very good reasons and may be based on emotion or misplaced guilt. In such circumstances it is entirely appropriate to ask them to reconsider.

Since you seem to have some difficulty engaging in civil discussion this is my last comment on the matter.
