As Cygnus points out, eternity is a looooooong time. With eternal life, one could study every atom, that makes up every celestial object in every star system in every galaxy in every galactic cluster in every supercluster throughout the universe....a billion times over. And then you would just be beginning eternity.

When you think about eternity as it really is, you realize that you could study everything that exists until you know everything there is to know about that object, and when you have run out of objects in the universe you still have eternity ahead of you.

It never ends, and after awhile you have literally (and I mean literally) learned every new thing. Nothing left but the same things over and over and over and over and over again. And then you would still just be starting eternity....
