this reminds me of when I grew up JW...we were told to tell our classmates if they asked what we got for Christmas that we dont celebrate Christmas but we get gifts all year round.

If only that were true... maybe I wouldnt have minded coming back after that long dreadful two week holiday vacation (consisted of waking up morning after dreary morning, clean the house, watch tv, and to make sure my annointed stepdad couldnt corner me alone after my mom left for work to sexually abuse me I kept busy with my younger siblings all day) knowing I would have to listen to all the kids around me describing excitedly their holidays, what they did, where they went, what they got. Some years I would run into the bathroom and just cry. And funny thing is at the time I dont know why. I was told over and over and over we were sooo much better than them-we didnt need a day to remind us to give to others or get gifts -that they are worshipping Satan and would die at Armaggedon..blah blah blah.
I never EVER got a gift, a nicely wrapped present nothing never NADA.I told these lies to my classmates year after year cause I was told to.

I have two little boys now..3 and 1;(and yes we go to Toys R Us almost weekly;I love it as much as them) this is the first year we put up a tree.It is so beautiful. I find myself staring at it alot. The children even love to look at it.They ask me to put the lights on.The 3 yr old keeps asking where are the gifts?I laugh and tell him Santa hasnt gotten here yet. I dont lie to him.Come Christmas morning he will awaken to a whole ton of brightly wrapped gifts under that beautiful tree.
