Dear Bibleman,
Have you figured out what one generation would be by dividing 14 into the number of years that spans the 14 generations in Matthew 1:17??
When did Abraham's generation start? and end?
When did David's generation start? and end?
When did the deportation to Bablylon begin? and end?
Until the Christ?
Is this 3x14=42 generations?? Then can we divide the starting date to Christ and get an average of one generation.?
Do we know that a generation starts with the birth of an individual? And does it end at the death of an individual? Do they over lap?
Jesus' generation must not have end, due to the fact that he was resurrected. Are we simply still in his generation? I know this would change the picture and make us examine a literal generation and a spiritual generation.
I will wait your comments.
