It is important to note that during the infamous Arkansas evolution trial, which ended in the court striking down the "equal time" law as unconstitutional, the creationists tried to argue that the overwhelming consensus for evolution among scientists was due to a conspiracy among journal editors and other scholars to keep creationist "scholars" out.
This argument quickly dissolved when no creationist was able to come up with a single creationist article ever submitted for peer review to biology journals.
