"religious" implications, just the POSSIBILITY.
Hi Chappy,
Surely no one can deny the *possibility* of something or someone involved in our being here. Though I think the possibility is very small I would not be prepared to say it's impossible. There could be numerous explanations outside our realm of understanding - explanations that no one has discovered yet. The idea of infinite space (curved or otherwise) is mind boggling to me. I suspect we still have much to learn. As to the kind of Supreme Being described in the Bible - He is too simplistic IMHO.
2. ASSUMING the above answer to be yes, would you believe in the POSSIBILITY that humans are "ignorant" of occurances many
of us now consider impossible; ie:, eternal life, resurrection, different forms of existence; "miracles" if you will?
You mean like Coccoon? Perhaps we can learn new skills thru scientific endeavour or extend our own lives with genetic engineering. Maybe the answers are all here for the miracles and eternal life - but we're not developed enough yet to achieve them. I was watching a program on tv last nite about the plagues of Eygpt. It seems scientists can give us an explanation for each of the plagues happening one after the other. It was fascinating hearing of this sequence of events and learning of their plausable explanation without need of "an act of God".
3. IF you came to the conclusion of His/Her existence; would your outlook on life change in a dramatic way? (I don't necessarily
mean Bible thumping or religious fanatisism.)
No not at all. I'm quite satisfied with the way I conduct my life. Perhaps I'd be a tad more generous.
3. Would you "like" the idea of a creator?
No because I'd feel he/she'd was remiss in allowing so much suffering to go on throughout his/her creation.
