I've spent some time with Lyman Swingle, and knew his father "Doc" Swingle (he was a pharmacist) personally for many years until he died. I introduced Lyman's sister, Betty, to her late husband. In fact, I grew up around the whole Swingle clan.
The Lyman that I spent time with was a warm-hearted and playful and wonderful man.
I've been told recently that (probably due to his age) he's out-of-it mentally these days. It's long past the time where he can do any reparations for his past. In balance, from my experience with him, any judgement of him should also take into consideration his many good qualities, too.
Farkel, who's glad he doesn't have the responsibility to sit in judgement of anyone, including Lyman Swingle (dubs: you should try doing the same thing from time-to-time)
