Hi Roger, Your story is so typical of what goes on in the Org. It's quite an horrific tale - even though you survived and thrived even. It should never come to that. I have two children who are now 22 and 20 and we are rarely confrontational. We can but guide and urge and explain - but after that we have to respect our kids rights to choose and try to stand by them when they make mistakes. The WTS does not equip parents for reality when raising a family. My sister's daughter - aged 16, has walked out of their devout WT home, and it's shattered my sister. It's all terribly sad when you think of the misery that is spread far and wide with WT ignorance.
