I'm planning on having one because it's fun and hurts no one. The origin of Christmas is as relevant to most peoples' celebration of it as is the origin of the names of the days of the week to peoples' use of them.
I engage in other fun celebrations, too, such as sacrificing chickens according to Buddhist rituals. It's not religious for me -- I just enjoy the bloodletting. I just wish Aztec rituals would make a comeback.
