I can't take the time to read all of your letter right now, but what I've read looks very good. One small comment is in order however.

The juxtaposition of these two paragraphs makes it appear as if you are saying that vaccinations were considered wrong in 1961. I believe that policy changed in the 1950's, so check it out and if I'm right your should clarify your statement a little.
Otherwise, from what I've read, you've done a great job.
