Did you know that since we don't know precisely what was going on with the water canopy that no one can specifically claim anything about it? Besides, who knows what special laws came into play? It could have been asymmetrical in some way. It could have been orbiting the Earth or stationary over the Earth orbiting at the same speed as Earth's rotation. We just don't know.
The main point is, though, Miller's theory is based upon his PRESUMPTION of an ancient atmosphere which he cannot be sure of and besides it contradicts the Bible's stated facts about this.
So no matter what, looking at what we have now is only going to give us a partial picture of what was there before.
I like telling this little story to demonstrate what I mean and what is perceived.
There was a tract of land that was nothing but a junk pile and an eyesore. It had old tractors and cars on it, some broken down buildings and the like. And everyday the same five people would pass this junk heap on their way to a desert resort. But then one day the governor was supposed to come out and inspect the resort and would have certainly condemned the property and confiscated it from the owners. But the owners heard about this and hired about 30 day laborers who over night cleared the land, tore down the delapidated buildings and cleaned it off totally.
So when the tour bus passed by with the governor and lots of dignitaries they didn't even notice the vacant land. But the five who passed that every day were in SHOCK! They couldn't believe it! They just stared in amazement. But the others saw them staring at the vacant lot and couldn't figure out what they were staring at. For all they saw was a vacant lot.
So you see, that vacant lot told an incredible story. But that story was only observable if you were there the day before and saw what the land looked like. But to those seeing it for the first time, there was no story. Just a nice clean empty lot.
So in a sense, that is how SCIENCE is. They can only deal with what is LEFT and make their presumptions on that. But they can't know what might have been there before if it is now gone.
Even the Proverbs talk about something like that.
A massive snake that crawls across a desert rock and leaves no trace that it was once there. Or a great eagle that flies through the sky leaves no trace it had been there.
So no matter what, there is only so many details you'll ever learn from what is left. And that is all that science has.
As far as relatively goes, as I've already said, TIME is an abstract concept and has nothing to do with the speed of light. It's not an elemental factor locked into its energy waves. In addition, you can SLOW LIGHT DOWN and STOP IT, with translucent and transparent glass.
Besides that, why should light be the standard for TIME? There are other types of light waves and radiowaves and radiation. Why aren't their speeds the time standard? See how arbitrary it is? It's just silliness. And besides that, recent experiments have demonstrated that light can exceed the "speed of light" so your news is old news.
