What are you talking about?
Isn't Belshazzar called the "son" of Nebuchadnezzar? Weren't the Jews supposed to to serve Nebuchadnezzar and his "sons" and didn't that include his son-in-law Nabonidus?
Isn't here Jesus being called the "son" of Joseph when it is his adopted son?
Isn't Jeconiah called the "son" of Josiah when in fact he was his GRANDSON?
Isn't Zerubabbel called both the "son" of Shealtiel as well sa the "son" of Pedaiah?
So all this is a matter of RECORD. If you're saying the Bible simply contradicts itself and contains errors in these cases or contradictions, then that's different and you're entitled to that opinion. But I tend to give the Bible writers the benefit of the doubt and take into consideration the language and customs.
So to each his own. All this can be found in the "Insight" volumes anyway with the apropriate references, so it's not as though these are my personal opinions. Others have observed these loose applications of "father" and "son" before.
So you really have a weak position here, bJ.
Thanks for your pennies...
