paraphrased--This article explained the difference between the legal corporation (WTBTS) and the "faithful and discreet slave". The recommended that instead of saying "the Society teacher", we say "the Bible says" or "I understand the Bible to teach thus-and-so" in order to avoid giving the impression that we are somehow bound by the dictates of a religious sect. We were told that as "free moral agents" we had personally decided to preach door-to-door, remain neutral in politics, decline blood transfusions, etc. We were told that when we make a decision, we do so of our own volition, because our own personal Bible study has convinced us that this is the right course.
