Yeah, you are right. I do feel I was sincere and honest. But Elders don't appreciate those qualities in those who start thinking for themselves. I wasn't even trying to influence anyone - I did not seek others out to talk to, but was happy in my decision to leave and wished to be left alone. They came after me, and I spoke about my feelings - and for that I have been denied my family for 18 years. It's a high price to pay for honestly. Worse still my parents have literally been victimised for wishing to keep contact with me. They have suffered a lot more than I have. It's been traumatic and ugly at times. These days I'm hard pressed to find even one good thing to think or say about Jehovah's Witnesses - because I've seen a very ugly side to them and a huge amount of hypocisy. Oh dear don't get me started.....
