Hi KC,
When you were asking me those questions you were just acting as an investigative reporter!!!
(smile--just kidding).
Obviously, this was a different KC, Kristy Carpenter? or how about Kathy Caruthers?
So actually I was not aware you were the fuel for these evolution debates and the "KC" in the interview were initials, as in "TB"--Thomas Bibleman.
That may be the difference between us... I choose to LEARN, to RESEARCH, to QUESTION. I don't
BLINDLY decide to believe in God. Nor do I BLINDLY decide to believe in evolution.
A person after my own heart!!! This is the key! So I encourage you to do this! RESEARCH! When you do that, your faith should improve.
For instance, try convincing someone that the Jews returned from Babylon in 455BCE? Do you know how much direct information there is to the contrary? And in fact, how SPECIFIC the chronology is for the current dating for the fall of Jerusalem in 587BCE?
But only by RESEARCH did I discover that all those records are not from the Neo-Babylonian period! Nothing that is substantive can be considered non-modified.
Only with RESEARCH did I discover that besides changing the astronomical data to match the revised dating, did I discover they also left records of the original dating!
Ask yourself if 587BCE is the correct chronology, why are the "most important documents" supporting this dating from the Seleucid Period, and where are the tens of thousands of original astronomical texts from the original Neo-Babylonian period?
On the other hand, if the chronology was changed and the astronomical texts would reflect that, then they'd have to destroy those records, right?
So if you have a situation where all the contemporary records are destroyed, that's a dead giveaway that part of history was revised.
But then, in those same revised records if you find references to the original chronology, then the issue is CLOSED. You not only KNOW it's revised but you also KNOW what the original dating is.
I'm not sure you grasp this.
In other words, you can take the VAT4956 text, which has absolute dating to 568BCE and also find absolute dating to 511BCE. Which makes no sense unless there was a conspiracy and these are just the two dates involved for year 37 of Nebuchadnezzar II, 568 and 511BCE. Only one of them is fake and one is the true dating.
When you do date Year 37 in 511BCE though, his 19th year ends up in 529BCE. Josephus clearly indicates that the desert period of 70 years did not begin in the 19th year but in the 23rd year, which coincides with the Bible's account that the LAST DEPORTATION was in the 23rd year. So you have harmony.
BUT, what closes this topic is that when dating 529BCE as the 19th year of Nebuchadnezzar 74 years later shows the Jews returning in 455BCE (529-74=455) which has to be the beginning of the 70 weeks prophecy which is about the "word going forth to rebuild Jerusalem." And that happened in the 7th month of the 1st of Cyrus, 455BCE. The Messiah appeared in the 7th month (during the time of the Festival of booths) exactly 483 years later in 29CE.
So it's over! My point being is, that I'm not afraid of RESEARCH. What RESEARCH has done for me, even if I felt I had no choice but to accept the Bible "blindly" as you say, is that my add knowledge has only CONFIRMED the Bible to be a true book of history in this case, and that the current establishment are either all liars are totally INCOMPETENT. And that's what we have now.
Not OPINION. Not OPTIONAL. INCOMPETENCE!
So, by all means do your research and don't limit your inquiry just into evolution or those type of things. Take a good look at Bible prophecy for the first time. Read the Bible yourself without anybody's aids and see what it seems to say to you. Then see if you can't understand the majesty of the Bible being able to predict things far into the future EXACTLY as they are happening.
Once you do that enough times, and then weigh it against scientific babble and THEORIES that you can neither prove nor disprove, then it will be easier to accept the Bible.
But one thing is for sure. Time is running out for the Bible. Soon some rather drastic events should be occurring soon that the Bible claims would happen, things that the whole world will need to focus on. Once those events begin, it is likely that we can conclude that everything else in the Bible is true.
So I encourage you and wish you lots of success in doing your own RESEARCH! It has only helped me and I have come to appreciate the Bible even more.
The Bible agrees with the FACTS.
But then again, I understand why people have doubts. That's why I say, just hang in there for the Bible since whether it is a true book or not will soon be self-evident to all. In other words, the next "scheduled event" as I can see is the destruction of Babylon, the Great by the U.N. That seems quite simply to be exposing the "Illuminati" or its influence and confiscating all their stashed resources. That will be a SHOCK!
But we need to start looking for that event. And not too many things leading up to it either. You know how these things go. If you're going to bust somebody doing illegal things, then it always happens like a massive STING operation. And if they are involved with drug trafficking at all, which some claim they are, the legal precedent to confiscate ALL their funding is already in place. You know how lawyers are.
But what I wanted to say was that this was supposed to happen QUICKLY, like a stone thrown into the sea. So really no warning before it happens.
So don't neglect the Bible or God or your RESEARCH. And remember scientists don't know every detail about nature. What seems to be "evidence" under one light could be something else. There is a lot of room for error.
Cheers,
Bibleman
