Dear AF:
In THIS POST below to Lydia, you said:
Schroeder's book has been discussed on this forum before. In my opinion Schroeder is almost as far out in left field as the young-earth creationists. He makes some very basic arithmetic errors in his calculations of the geometrically decreasing length of the creative days, so basic that everything else he says cannot be relied upon.
I did not see the discussion/s you refer to and I am most curious what you say about Dr. Gerald Schroeder. I was about to add the book Lydia recommended to my shopping list until I read your post. I wonder if you could give some examples of Dr. Schroeder's basic arithmetic errors? Its an especially interesting observation considering he is a nuclear physicist who served on the staff of MIT, was a member of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission (now the Department of Energy), and was a colleague Dr. Albert Einstein.
Nevertheless, if the good doctor is a quack, I don't want to waste good money on a bad book. So if you yourself don't have any specific examples of his inept arithmetic, could you refer us to something on the Internet that discusses the errors in the book you refer to.
Thanks for your time.
