Bibleman, I am so sorry, but I had to giggle at your post. I remember so well saying those same exact words you said!

Honey, I never in my life have worshipped a Xmas tree! Never bowed down to one. It is an item of decoration. Intent is everything.

I really think that your post is a prime example of how convoluted and ridiculous the WTS is in its approach to living.

I know very well about the tree and its past. And I don't care! I don't think it applies today.

I suggest that if you are THAT worried about the past of everything, you do some independent research on the background of the WTS. I also suggest that everything you do, you research. Do you wear a wedding ring? Do you ever say the words "lucky" or "fortunate"? Do you wear a tie? Have you examined all the color combinations and designs on the fabric you wear on your body?

I get such a funny reaction inside myself when I read posts such as yours. I do not mean to put you down personally, for I know you are only parroting the WTS. I know you are parroting them because I could just about move my lips with your post, and I've been away from the WTS for years!

Fear isn't a way to get me back, fella.
