:Alan, I am sorry for you that you didn't carefully read what the other person posted. That person never mentioned shopping or traveling, but mentioned family time
and relaxing and enjoying one another.

Don't be sorry for me, I don't celebrate.

Family time can be done all year, every day.
We don't celebrate but we have family time.

:Do you have a problem with those things too?

I have a problem with designating a day as special that the world set up.

:My husband and I don't do the holidays up big. But we enjoy spending the days off together. On Thanksgiving we have vegetarian lasagna each year. That has
become our tradition and we enjoy that a lot. On Xmas day, we sit and read, looking up periodically and smile at each other. I don't decorate up big, but put little
decorations of our choice up. This year I'll probably have an evergreen arrangement on the wall and a little nativity scene. Our choice to do or not to do.

If you choose to do, whom are you following?

:Life isn't as confined as the WTS would have you believe.

I don't believe it is confined regardless of the WTS. I am not like you apostate in that you think that I reject it because of the WTS. I reject the holidays because they are not holy.
