I just wanted to say how refreshing I found your post. It's the hallmark of a cult to make you feel like boogeymen are all around you. I have observed religious paranoia in people of other denominations other than JW's. There are some people that are predisposed to legalistic fanaticism. The rigid structure gives them a strong sense of self-righteousness, not to mention a natural high. Coming off that religious high plummets a person into depression, a term I liken to hell. Hell isn't a pleasant place to be. I spent many years there.
Hope all had a Thanksgiving filled with loved ones, comradarie, food, and of course thanks giving.
