Here you are, hob nobbing with and responding to known apostates. You break those rules you so staunchly defend. Do you feel that could be hypocritical?
What if there was a sister in your congregation who hung around apostates? Would you think that was okay?
Frankly, I think it is fine. But am wondering at your hard-nosed attitude towards your fellow human, yet will blatantly break the rules yourself.
