each time a jw is asked:
Does the WT claim to be Inspired?
you get a maze of answers from they are not really inpired like moses to they are really just "Spirit Directed"
others will say, well they are inspired in"THE SENSE" that when they quote the bible they are speaking inspired things.
in fact many will point to wt articles where it states they don't claim to be Infallible which is all fine and good
but could any jw plz explain how any org could make the following statement and NOT NEED TO BE INSPIRED esp when are giving Life and Death instructions that are not addressed in the bible?
*** w57 6/15 370 Overseers of Jehovah's People ***
It is vital that we appreciate this fact and respond to the directions of the “slave” as we would to the voice of God, because it is His provision.
NOW THAT is pretty strong( or some may say Arrogant) by anyones standard to say to folks:
"Look you need to follow our directions as if God himself spoke them"
it's statements like this that cause honest hearted folks to ask questions .
this afternooon my wife and i had some friends over for dinner. my wife told the sister that as a jw one is expected to do whatever they are told thru the publications and the sister felt otherwise- so my wife showed her this quote and the sister couldn't beleive it.
we had been looking over the 1-1-00 where the society makes confessions to the faCT THAT what they spoke over the yrs bears no resemblance to THE VOICE OF GOD
since when god speaks he gets it right
just a thought
