Hi, DaJahVeu:
I don't personally have a problem with evolution of species from species to form new and improved species over time. Where I think the chain is broken is in one group (or family) evolving into another group; ie, fish, birds and cats from a common source. And even that has its variables. I maintain there is no such linking evidence. Its like you could line up a bunch of skulls of various present-day monkeys and apes and say that shows gradual progression from the least to the greatest. No? Well that's what they would say if they found the same skulls, but spaced out over millions of years.
I realize that technically its a whole lot more complex than that--DNA, dating, and all kinds of stuff--but we're confined to a little post here and the fact remains that there is no linking proof and they know it; and the honest scientists/evolutionists admit it. At best it proves an extinct specie.
