It always boils down to questions that neither side can answer. I do not deny that it boils down to a choice of which seem the most viable to me. What is annoying is when one side or the other claims absolute proof.
But to answer your question, I imagine (and I do not claim its more) that God the original spirit is not finite, and therefore is infinite, and therefore did not spring into being. If it did, then it too would have had to have a maker.
