I have a similar book, "The Creation Hypothesis." It seems that most of these writers' arguments boil down to, "It's simply too incredible to believe that this could have happened without some sort of miraculous guiding hand."
If that's so, and theistic creation is tne truth, then that brings up a number of other problems, for instance, AF's implication of many 'arms races' throughout life's history. Why did God create T-Rex, or sea creatures that are nothing more than killing machines? What about critters that can hide themselves in their particular environment so as to strike at innocent passers-by for a quick meal? What good are poisonous snakes and anthropods? Couldn't a peaceful God have created some other form of pest control? Why pests in the first place? I could sure do without mosquitos and wasps.
As far as your fish story, where are these millions of fish? Where's the rock? How old is the rock? What kinds of fish are they? Is there a better solution to a local fish gravesite than a global flood?
