Thats really funny! The congregation I was in lived a far differnt life than what you discribe. If you were a member of the clique you could get away with just about anything you wanted. Alcohol abuse, drug abuse, abuse of spouse or children, cheating on taxes, lies, slander, gossip, being an illegal alien with false ID, just to name a few.
It wasn't to difficult to be part of this "IMORAL" life style. You didn't have to change your ways, you just had to know the right people.
Don't get me wrong, there were some fine examples of Chirstians also, but they were the minority. They did what was right, and were basicly left out of the social grove because of that.
They condem other religions for the same things they did. That my friend is called HYPOCRISY plain and simple!
I live a much better life now than I ever did then. I don't comprimise myself or my beliefs just to make the local "clique" happy.
