The analogy is not complete. Supose your daughter had claimed she had been appointed by God to be the only one on earth to read maps for her family, you could not read it for yourself or disagree with her, or point out her errors or be thrown out of her family.
Then she reads the map wrong and later covers over her mistakes and says she has new light on the map, but it proves wrong also.
Would you still still follow her map reading to guide you to the correct destination?
Maybe she still beleives she has that divine guidence in map reading, but would you tell others to go to her for guidance.
Probably, if it was a map reading cult.
Your daughter would not be a deliberate liar, if she really beleived it, but the information would be false just the same and just as damaging to you.
