Charlotte,
You asked: "Is it possible for humans to give others incorrect information without "lying"?"
The answer to your question is yes.
However this is only true when the person giving the info acts out of a lack of knowledge. This is not the case with the WTS/ORG. While they may be clueless about Bible prophecy they know exactly what they are doing when it comes to covering up past mistakes for as long as possible and distorting the facts.
This makes them liars and "blind guides". Anyone who studies the history of the WTS (and the info required for that study is readily available) is choosing to be a blind follower of those blind guides. Of course they don't want you to make that study because you will find out that the WTS/ORG is the one doing the lying and the so-called "apostates" are telling the truth.
But if you want to continue to follow the WTS "road map" and let them "read it for you" no one can stop you. It is your choice. However I do encourage you to find out the real truth about the WTS/ORG. It may be painful in the short term, but over the long haul you will be glad that you are able to read the map of life for yourself.
If it is Christian truth you are looking for I hope you will find that it exists in Christ alone and no one and nothing else.
My best wishes to you... Jack
