Unfortunately, the WBTS is several decades behind in its understanding of how successful corporations are managed. It should take a look at other major publishing/printing companies and see if there isn't a trend away from absolute authority. It's been several centuries since Machiavelli identified the outcome of "absolute power". The curruption of the Society is consistant with his addage!
They're right though. If they allowed one cong to "escape" it would open the flood gates and a Boris Yeltsin would be waiting in the wings.
