When I came to this forum, I thought that all public posts were just that, public, addressed to everyone.
I've found, in my years of computer communications (which is generally much more intense than face to face communications) that when someone comes back with an answer similar to the one you just gave to Jack01, that person has been painted into an uncomfortable position.
Why didn't you just ignore the post? It pinged at you, didn't it?
