Washington D.C. United States: The long-running decline in the nations [United States] serious crime rate accelerated in 1999, as lawbreaking fell to it's lowest level in 25 years, the FBI reported Sunday.
Led by a 13 percent decline in murder, crime was down in every category that makes up the FBI's serious crime index...hailing the numbers, President Clinton said, "In every region of our nation, neighborhoods are safer now, and American families are more secure than they have been for a generation." When this "good news" is printed, make sure I get to see it.
