The concept of an almighty, omnicient, entity that can be referred to as a "person" is completely incoherent. Basically you are talking about an entity that doesn't think because it has no need to deliberate or make up his mind through a process of weighing options. God has no need to see since he knows everything and needs no sensory imput. And anyone who expects him to be so considerate as to provide overwhelmingly unambiguous evidence of his existence is judged adversely for such arrogance.
I believe as you do that IF (big if) there is anyone/thing that cares a rats tail about us lonely miserable hunks of protoplasm its more than likely some other hunk of protoplasm that has evolved longer or luckier than we have.
The Bible associates the Revelation of our "maker/s" at that point in time where we need to be delilvered from our own inevitable self-destruction.
Angels/Demons/Gods = Material beings with an advanced technology or they don't exist at all.
