Public Service Announcement:
I have been in touch with FD1 regarding the crash of H20 over the weekend.
FD1 has okayed me to share the following:
H2O’s recent crash was related only to server problems. On and off over the weekend FD1 monitored the main
forum to the extent of checking that no posts or information was being altered or lost.
From all that we could tell the only posts affected by the crash of Hourglass2 was that half a dozen posts made when the crash began were severely affected. Otherwise everything remained as is.
We saw all those wild comments concerning shadowy conspiracies. It is all a bunch of bunk. Servers crashed, it happens everyday.
It was therefore not an attack on H20 specifically since it was our hosts server that crashed (not to mention no significant amount of information was lost at our site) and not directed at us.
There has been no evidence presented of a hack attack.
Hope this alleviates the concerns of many of the posters here and appreciate the positive comments about H20 that have been forthcoming as a result of this server problem.
It would be good to keep this experience in mind come the end of December. There will likely be some people who will jump to conclusions and present Unseen Dark Forces theories/argumentation for any failure or glitch that may present itself.
