I find very little hard thinking by scientists
and others about how an advanced race might chose
to interface with a primitive people. I think
shows like Startrek are excellent in at least
starting some real thinking about how careful
a ethical culture would have to be in entering
the realm of lesser creatures like us. The
disruption of ET's being manifest could cause
enormous suffering if not done carefully, over
time.
I, too, am skeptical about many claims here, yet
if I were an alien culture, I would chose to
enter a primitive realm as a "myth" first.
I note that the government of France recently
released a report stating that intelligent
extraterrestrial in UFO's are "quasi-certain"
and that they are very suspicious of what the
US possesses in regards to them. I am aware of
numerous military people who swear before dying
that the government knows much more than it is
saying - indeed one sister I knew of had a
husband involved in intelligence work who told
her that UFOs were real and the government knew
all about it.
