Dear Cpiolo,

Don't be overly concerned about people, especially witnesses, getting hot and bothered when you challenge their beliefs. Most people's beliefs are very closely held and linked to emotional feelings rather than rational ideas.
Think of how much of Christianity is based on the highly emotive stories of "baby Jesus", the "passion of Calvery" and illogically bankrupt ideas such as literal physical resurrection.

When a persons whole identity is wrapped up in being "a Christian" or a "being a this or that" and you challenge their fundamental beliefs, you are attempting to dislodge the cornerstone of their pesonal identity. The claws come out and the cognitive dissonance takes over. Passions over rule reason, you know the story.

So "Come let us reason together" is a difficult activity to engage in with most fundamentalists and expecially those that belong to a mind control group and don't want to acknowledge it.

Keep up the good fight,

mntzion
