Most of the AJWRB membership have expressed their
doubts as to the claims of the individual who professes that he is a governing body member. Although I have not spoke with Ray on this matter personally, I have spoke with others who have. Additionally, the comments posted by M733 seem clearly to be the writings of Ray Franz. I know of no person better qualified to evaluate the claims and writing style of "GB" or "Area 51". I believe the chances that Ray could be wrong about this are very small indeed. On the other hand, nothing would please me more than for there to be convincing evidence to the contrary.
I would not be at all surprised by the presence of reform minded brothers on the governing body. I would, however, be surprised to see them handle matters as this brother has for most of the same reasons mentioned by Ray plus a few others that I
probably shouldn't mention.
Regardless of how this plays out, AJWRB will continue doing our part to advance reform of the WTS blood policy. Such an effort is a noble one that involves current and former Witnesses from more than 25 countries. Eventually, we hope that a majority of the governing body will see themselves as supportive of our goals of free conscientious medical choices without controls or sanctions. It will not be necessary for such members to post to an open forum like H2O. If they are sincere about advancing such needed reforms they can contact AJWRB directly, or simply work quietly behind the scenes and cast their votes when called upon to do so.
In His Love,
LE
