This is one of my contentions regarding the Great Flood, that it was a huge but localized flood. I read about this one in Ryan and Pitman's book just this year. I think that Friend and AF recommended it to me. It even came up to the 'mountains of Ararat'. Another possibility is a large Mesopotamian flood around 3200 b.c. but I am unsure of the evidence on this one. Bob Ballard is the one who discovered the remains of the Titanic. I would hope to see this research on National Geographic or Discovery, especially if they locate any ruins or remains of vessels.
