I have been enjoying the Area 51 parody of GB. How appropriate! This whole thing now seems to be right out of the hangar.
I confess I am gulible by nature BUT skeptical by habit. After I posted my questions to GB and failed to get a response I sensed this thing was unravelling.
If I may quote myself:
"Time may or may not reveal the real identity of GB. But that doesn't stop those of us who are open minded from probing our subject and finding out what he REALLY knows. Enough time has been wasted on the childish games of accusation. Get on with the real questions which will probably settle the identity problem at the same time."
GB's creativity ran out. He could play the role of GB up to the point of giving REAL information. His failure to address simple questions closed the book.
Franz's comments were too late. Had he responded in full and earnestly followed up on Ros this drama would have ended long ago. Franz's aloofness borders on arrogance - a trait that got him to the top in the first place.
What is really irritating about Franz is that he still claims a belief in God. Every argument he used to discredit GB can be used to refute the Bible's claim to be God's word. Circular reasoning & special pleading? That's the warp and woof of the theist's very best robe.
It still stands that my core remains gullible. I must confess that the Alien Autopsy movie had me wondering until I read a critique in SKEPTIC magazine. But how was I to know that phones didn't have coiled wires in 1948? The other thing that got me bamboozled by Alien Autopsy was the Special Effects Experts who claimed they would have a hard time duplicating that movie today. As it turned out the promoters of the Alien Autopsy movie interviewed a lot of Special Effects guys who laughed at the movie. Of course the one odd-ball who thought the movies effects were good is the one they put in the movie.
When you're as easily fooled as I am you need extraordinary proof for extraordinary claims such as: there are UFO's visiting the earth, there was a world wide flood, Jesus came back from the dead and was born to a Virgin, there is a Devil, there is a God.
We are left with GB type spokesmen who enjoy the anonymity of ancient scrolls and word of mouth stories. At least GB was shut up by the facts. The Bible's non-sense continues to receive credibility long after the facts have become evident. It is kept alive by people's failure to come to grips with their own mortality.
