Seeker,
I tried to find my copy of "Jehovah's Witnesses and the Hour of Darkness", the book that contains examples of subliminal images in WTS publications but couldn't find it. I recently moved and still have many items packed away in boxes. I'm not sure if I got rid of the book as I have with many WTS related items in the years since I left or if it is somewhere that I have not looked. I believe the book can still be ordered from Randall Watters site www.freeminds.org. Additionally some of the images may be on the web at the Watchtower Observer site. There is a button on that called "Subliminal Images" but when I click on that and some other buttons at that site it does not load. Try it and see if you can get it to work.
As I stated before I do think some of the images in question require a stretch of the imagination to "see" while others are fairly obvious. The more obvious ones that come to mind are:
1. The image of a pagan gods head in the skirt of a woman. It is in a Watchtower from the early 80's.
2. The phrase "Jests Put Thru Daily" that appears on a theater marquee. It is a kind of "in your face" statement by the artist(s) that they are using WTS literature as a vehicle for their "hidden" images. The letters are slightly scrambled and if my memory is correct appears something like Jes Tupts Thru Daily. The first "t" and the "s" from Tupts are moved behind the "Jes" to form "Jests and the remaining letters upt are unscrambled to form "Put".
3. Another is an image of a man drinking. If you rotate the image 90 degrees clockwise there is the image of a beastly face clearly seen in the folds of his sleeve. In the mouth of the beast are the characters "jAh". They have placed the name of God in the mouth of the beast.
I hope this helps since you seem to have an interest in this subject. Let me know if you would like to discuss it further.
