C said: We should all try to be positive – I think. If you don’t like, can’t stand, the Witnesses – why not stay away. Say “no thank you” when they come to your door, meet you on the street, etc.

C, if you really believe what you said above, why did you slam Baptists and Catholics? They are just trying to get along like everyone else.

I'll tell you why exDubs are here, why questioning ones are here, why reformers are here. It is ground where we can all meet and hash things over safely. For us Ex-Dubs, it is a place to help us heal. I don't understand why that is, and I feel that I've pretty much healed.

I'm here now because I'm interested. It is an interesting study in human nature.

I don't like the negativity either, but I've watched some people here, just in the short time I've been here, begin to heal, or continue to heal. I've come to some realizations myself.

I'll never go back to the Kingdom Hall. I've written my letter of formal disassociation. I'm free.

But what if something I have gone through could help someone else? Where else can I talk to an active JW who is questioning?

I don't even feel that all JW's should leave the organization. I lost a very good friend when I left. I loved her like a sister, and will always love her. She will be welcome in my life at any time. Unfortunately the WTS does not teach unconditional love, it speaks as though it does, but in reality there are many strings attached.

If perchance something I've gone through could help someone else, that is wonderful.

I have a couple of emails that I didn't respond to, BTW, so if anyone reads this who is waiting for a response, please write to me again. I'm sick, so will respond during times I feel good.
