By now, most everybody is familiar with the increasingly dismal statistics showing a rapidly
slowing/declining organization throughout the world.

And of course, so is the Society.

One possible defensive move is say that The End
could come "instantly", "any day now", "suddenly,
without warning".

Such ideas are being spouted by C.O.'s and D.O.'s
hoping to fight against the end of the "generation"
doctrine.
And such ideas are false.
It is true that Jesus used exaggeration or hyperbole
when discussing the End. Actually, first, you need the
UN to get together against religion, then they have
to devastate it, then the "traveling merchants" have
to notice their loss of business, etc.

Doesn't look like a 24 hour period gets it done,
does it? (even taking their interpretations as true)

They get so desperate, they forget their own
publications' teaching.
