More than anything else on the planet...I pray for the Society to release our loved ones from the heinous practice of shunning that the Society has demanded their followers do in a show of loyalty to the Org. My family is currently being torn to shreads internally by this practice....and for nothing...absolutely nothing. Im disassociated, my husband is inactive but still applying the JW mentality whenever there is a holiday or other JWs are around...or when someone leaves the Org. His mother just recently wrote a letter to her JW grown children telling them that she no longer believes the Society is Gods Organization, nor holds the "truth." She was met with immediate hostility by both of them and her Elder husband has now rallied the JW children to his side even though they are only step children. All correspondence suddenly has a cc to this man, like he is Big Brother, making sure no JWs in the family say anything to his wife that would indicate that they are still loyal to her..their own mother. Im sickened. She is coming to visit next weekend and it will most likely be the last time she will hug, kiss, or hold her JW kids or her grandchildren from that JW family before the Jud. Committee trumps up some charges on her to DF her. She is neither in nor out now, technically, and is in WTS purgatory. If she speaks to me, she will be DFd. The stress around here is so thick you can cut it. GB is there ANY hope of this ever going away? This wonderful Christian lady has accepted Christ into her heart...that is the sin for which she is being shunned and labeled apostate. Please tell me there is some hope. :*(
