Thanks for a straightforward and honest answer. I do enjoy our discussions mostly and have been a bit irritable lately for other reasons so will take this opportunity to apologize to you for that.
What you have said, really, is why it so important for the Society (or anyone else) to openly acknowledge error. Otherwise, it is only a few JWs who, for whatever reasons, have special knowledge which they can impart to potential new JWs in the way that you do. Ultimately, such a fragmentation of true knowledge will destroy the very unity that the Society values so highly. To the extent that the Society fails to make sure that every one of its public preachers understands that the Society has erred on some point or other, then, to that extent, it is contributiong to the deception of those members of the public who consider becoming JWs.
